About Paul Nevin

Huguette Simard
Paul Nevin is a freelance photographer who, for three decades, has worked at the higher levels in photojournalism and advertising. His numerous assignments in both fields have taken him to dozens of countries around the world including China, France, Ethiopia, Morocco, Burma, the Americas and Iran.

In photojournalism Paul's assignments at home and abroad include award-winning prestigious magazines such as Smithsonian, one of the US's top three magazines, and Australian Geographic. His commercial assignments include location photography for top brands such as Toyota, BHP, Orica, BOC, ING, Linde Group, The AAP Group, and Komatsu Australia.

Paul is now concentrating on photojournalism, and one of his strengths is his ability to mingle among peoples of diverse cultures. Paul Raffaele, an award-winning Smithsonian feature writer who accompanied Paul on a Smithsonian magazine assignment to Pakistan's Northwest-Frontier says; "Paul's powerful pictures in this story came from a combination of top-level feature photography, and a lifelong passion for the remote people and places of this world.” During the assignment he shot among others, landscapes, tribal children, village markets and the mad scramble of Pakistani mountain polo players with equally stunning results."

A selection of Paul's wide variety of pictures is with photolibrary.com and his work was selected for inclusion in the Fuji/ACMP Collection.

Paul, a New Zealander, lives in Sydney, Australia.
